Jack didn't understand the point of making cookies. He had the wrong stirring tool (in his opinion), he didn't want to add the food coloring, he didn't want to put the dough onto the cookie sheet... We rode out the fit and waited for a turn in attitude. It came. As he got quieter, I asked if I could have some dough to make cookies with- he happily said okay. The exchange continued until all the cookies were made. He just needed some control of the situation. The poor kiddo, he already is having problems dealing with control issues. It may have been wrong taking pictures of him crying but that's the good, the bad and the ugly of kids- that's life (besides he looks so cute when he pouts). Kole was not bothered by Jack's lack of initial interest. He's so happy go lucky. My boys!
